AN elderly pensioner has sustained a 'serious injury' after a vehicle collision in Colchester - prompting Essex Police to launch an appeal.
The woman sustained the injury outside the main entrance to the Tesco, in Greenstead Road, on March 28 between 3.30pm to 4pm.
At the time a vehicle hit the woman.
Officers have confirmed the woman, who is in her 70s, has sustained a serious leg injury as a result of the incident.
The force now wants any witnesses to step forward.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage of it or has any information should get in touch by emailing 79724@essex.police.uk.
"Alternatively, you can call us on 101.
"Please cite incident 808 of March 28."
It has been confirmed the woman's injury is not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made and Essex Police's enquiries are ongoing.
