A BLAZE which caused eight lorries to go up in flames at a yard saw six fire crews sent to tackle it.
Crews worked to extinguish a fire in Turnpike Lane, West Tilbury, last night.
Due to the remote area, crews also requested a Water Bowser from Corringham to help shuttle water to the scene.
Firefighters worked to prevent the fire spreading to nearby units and extinguished the fire.
Station Manager Dean Riley said: “Crews worked quickly to establish a water supply and this helped firefighters contain the fire to the lorries and prevented it spreading to nearby units in the yard.”
An investigation will be carried out this morning to determine the cause of the fire.
