A SUCCESSFUL music and beer festival which saw more than a thousand revellers attend its inaugural event is returning to Southend Airport this summer.
The historic Vulcan bomber's hangar at the airport hosted two days of music, food and beer last August in a fundraiser for the Vulcan Restoration Trust.
Following the "hugely successful" first-of-its-kind event, the festival returns to the airport this August.
Taking place again in the Vulcan Restoration Trust's hangar, the event combines seven hours of live music, street food and Essex brewed beers - all against the stunning backdrop of the RAF bomber.
Sons of Bourbon and Ruby Robinson and Jazz Quartet have been confirmed for the Friday event so far, while The Long Run, Throw Back To The Future and Faux Fighters will perform on Saturday.
Breweries Black Box and Datum Attitude will have 35 different beers and ciders on offer between them, while the Tipsy Bubbles Bar will be selling gin and tonics alongside a wide selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
A parade of street food vendors will include Time To Thai Noodles, Gourmet Burger Bar, Brick Lane Bagels Stand and an ice cream and doughnut kiosk.
Festivalgoers can also enjoy tabletop shuffleboard, bar skittles and even outdoor axe throwing.
The doors open at the Vulcanat 2pm and close at 10.30pm each day on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3 with tickets at £18 each day for adults and £4 for under-18s.
