EMERGENCY services have closed a road in Leigh following “a concern for welfare” involving a man and a child.
The road which runs behind Leigh Station and Leigh tip and the skatepark has been closed off by Essex Police, and East of England Ambulance service are also on the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police has said the situation is ongoing.
He said: “We are currently at the scene of an incident close to Two Tree Island, Leigh-on-Sea, following reports of concern for the welfare of a man and child.
“We are working with the East of England Ambulance Service and have closed the road nearby while our work is ongoing.
“Thank you for your patience.”
