Emergency services are blocking off a road in south Essex this evening after reports "part of a roof" has been ripped off by strong winds.
Photos show part of a "roof" in Manor Road, Benfleet, this afternoon as strong winds have hit all of Essex with a Met Office yellow weather warning issued.
Residents have taken to social media to claim firefighters are on the roof of the Manor Court flats, with the road blocked off near Church Road by police.
Traffic maps show congestion in Manor Road and Church Road while emergency services are believed to be on the scene.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
