EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a “massive” fire at an industrial estate in Basildon.
Witnesses have described thick black smoke engulfing a business in Paycocke Road, as firefighters rushed to tackle the blaze.
It is believed the road has now been closed whilst emergency services deal with the blaze.
One witness, Sam Mildren, told the Echo: “There are loads of emergency services, more just keep pulling up.
“The road has been shut off now. There is just thick black smoke coming out of the business.
“It is mental. Police, fire, and ambulance service are now all here.”
All emergency services have been contacted for comment by the Echo.
