A MAJOR road in Southend has reportedly been shut both ways as an air ambulance is seen landing nearby.
Royal Artillery Way, in Southend, from McDonalds, towards Shoebury, has been closed both ways.
This is following reports of a crash.
One witness told the Echo the road is shut on both sides, and that there are firefighters, police, and an air ambulance at the scene.
At this stage, the extent of the crash is unknown.
However, emergency services have been contacted for comment by the Echo.
