Police have increased patrols around a south Essex railway station after recent incidents including teenagers being caught with "machetes".
Castle Point’s community police team is increasing its patrols around Benfleet station.
This comes weeks after machetes were seized at the c2c station and is part of the team's effort to tackle antisocial behaviour.
Police seized a number of knives and two boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
A spokesman for the community policing team said: "Following recent incidents, our community policing team worked with our partners at British Transport Police this week, tackling antisocial behaviour in and Benfleet railway station.
"Lots of young people were spoken to and a lot of ground covered during the joint patrols, these patrols will continue.
"We also provided crime prevention and fraud awareness advice to commuters."
