A NEW banking service has been launched in Rayleigh to provide face-to-face support for customers.
Barclays has officially launched its "Barclays Local" site at Rayleigh Library.
Colleagues will now be on hand on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to offer financial support and education for customers, without the need to travel to a branch.
This will be between the hours of 9am to 12:30pm and 1pm and 4:30pm.
Barclays say it is committed to deploying a range of more flexible ways that customers can physically interact with the bank.
This comes after Barclays in Rayleigh High Street closed its doors for good on March 22, 2024.
Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, attended the opening today.
He said: “Customers visiting the Barclays Local will be able to access a range of in-person support such as help with digital banking, financial reviews, balance checks, transfers and bill payments. As the Barclays Local site is a cashless site, everyday banking transactions will need to be completed at the local Post Office.”
