Drivers are facing delays around the Dartford Crossing after police were forced to hold traffic due to "concerns for for someone on the bridge."
Police were called to the Dartford Crossing shortly due to concerns regarding someone on the bridge, causing traffic to be held from 5.34am while the police responded.
Traffic has now been released following the incident, leading to delays of around 60 minutes for motorists passing over the QEII Bridge.
A spokesman for National Highways South-East said: Traffic has been released on the A282 QEII Bridge southbound at the Dartford Crossing following a police led incident.
"Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as long delays of 60 mins remain."
AA Traffic Map reports an average speed of 15 mph on the M25 approaching the crossing.
