EastEnders actor and Westcliff resident, Ryan Philpott, is set to bring a series of performances entitled 'Made in Southend' to the Palace Theatre.
In conjunction with the Dickens Theatre Company, he will present the three performance seasons at his home theatre.
Mr Philpott, who played Kenny Morris in EastEnders, said: "Since we set up Dickens Theatre Company in 2015 it has been my ambition to bring our shows to Westcliff - and here we are, about to embark on a very exciting programme of classic literature stage adaptations, all ‘Made in Southend’."
The collaboration will start with 'Charles Dickens: The Readings and The Rumours', from October 3 to 5.
This will be followed by a staging of 'A Christmas Carol' with the Victorian classic set to run from Monday, November 25, to Wednesday, November 27.
Fans of William Shakespeare's works can look forward to 'Revision on Tour: Macbeth' which will take place in February 2025.
