A lorry has overturned after hitting a bridge in Pitsea, causing long delays for drivers.
High Road, in Pitsea, is currently blocked after the lorry hit the bridge and overturned shortly after 8.15am this morning.
According to AA traffic map, traffic is currently building heavily along High Road and Southmayne.
A police spokesman said: "We anticipate, this will cause traffic disruption in the area whilst the lorry is recovered and we’re encouraging people to find alternative routes if possible.
"We’ll update you when we practically can."
