The clock is ticking to the Paris Olympics and Active Essex has paired up with gymnast Courtney Tulloch for an Olympic-oriented challenge.
The educational initiative, ‘Count with Courtney’, combines physical activity with mathematical exercises, offering primary school children a unique learning experience.
The Great British gymnast trains at the South Essex Gymnastics Club in Basildon Sporting Village and has taken part in gymnastics since the age of six.
Jason Fergus, Active Essex director, said: "At Active Essex we want to ensure there are a wide range of opportunities for young people to get active in a way that suits them.
"We're so thrilled to have Courtney Tulloch on board, demonstrating the power of active lessons to create a fun way to engage students that don’t normally engage in maths lessons."
The programme was launched in September 2023 and has since seen the participation of more than 197 school classes.
