Southend has been named the number one spot to watch the Euros this summer in the UK.
According to Casino.com, Southend leads when considering important factors for football fans; the number of outdoor beer gardens, the price per pint, and access to sports TV.
The average number of summer sunshine hours also plays a part in cementing Southend's top placement to watch the Euro 2024 tournament.
With a Euro Watch Score of 8.41 out of 10, there are hundreds of pubs and bars in and around the Southend borough that both have a beer garden and can screen the Euros.
This equates to a figure of 77.3 per cent of pubs in the area.
The coastal city is also expected to experience an average of 9.35 sunshine hours a day in June and July.
For those wanting to enjoy the matches without breaking the bank, the average price of a pint hits the sweet spot at £3.50 – which is lower than the typical UK cost.
Southend beat Reading and Slough to the top spot.
