Police are no longer appealing for the public's help to locate a man in connection with a probe into reports of controlling and coercive behaviour.
Essex Police officers had issued an appeal to speak to a man who has connections to Colchester and Basildon in connection with reports of controlling and coercive behaviour.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We are no longer trying to find [the man], who we had wanted to speak to in connection with reports of coercive and controlling behaviour.
"A 32-year-old man was arrested yesterday (June 17).
"He is currently in custody."
