Pictures show a "horrific" fly-tipping incident in Basildon that has left bricks, wooden-slats, black bins and construction materials strewn across a pavement.
The tip, which is just off Burnt Mills Road, Basildon, blocked the pavement with a huge amount of black bin waste, household waste, construction materials and other items strewn across the street.
The waste stretches from the road across the green and into the pavement, which it is currently blocking.
Pitsea South East Labour councillor Ben Westwick said: "It is terrible.
"Fly-tipping is illegal and can result in a fine of up to £50,000 and 12 months imprisonment.
"If you are having work done at your property, please ensure that the company handling the waste has a valid waste carrier's license.
"You can verify this by visiting the Environment Agency's public register.
"This is a significant issue, and we must work together to prevent it.
"By being vigilant and choosing responsible waste disposal companies, we can help protect our borough."
Both Mr Westwick and his colleague, Pitsea South East councillor Christopher Hilleard, have reported the tip to the council but it has not yet been cleared.
