A SCHOOL in south Essex has been hit with a power cut with engineers on site.
Castledon School, in Wickford, currently has no power or phone lines.
UK Power are "hoping to restore power within the hour".
In a text, seen by the Echo, parents were told: "Currently, we have no power to the whole school site.
"UK Power are onsite and are hoping to restore power within the hour.
"Phone lines are down, however, if you need to contact us urgently, please email using the admin@castledon.org email address.
"We will provide updates when we have them."
