A DEVASTATED mum-of-two has been told she has incurable cancer at just 25 years old as the community rallies to help her “see her children grow up”.

Sky Bampton, from Southend, found a lump in her breast when she was expecting her son, Albie, before having a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery last October.

However, she has now received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had spread to her liver and although the cancer is treatable, it is incurable.

Doctors have given her a prognosis of two to three years.

Now, a fundraiser to help Sky “see her children grow up” has raised thousands of pounds as her family appeal for support.

Sky, who has a one-year-old son and a five-year-old daughter, said: “It has been so difficult for me and my family. Emotionally and mentally it has taken a huge impact.

“I never thought at 25, I would find myself in such a mess.

“I feel like I am carrying a massive weight on my shoulders every single day, and the sadness and reality of it all is something that doesn’t go away.

“We are all heartbroken.”

Sky initially found the lump in January 2023 and underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy she undergoing a mastectomy.

Towards the end of the year, Sky experienced unusual sensations in her back, and after a CT scan, a mark showed up on her liver.

An MRI scan later revealed numerous scattered lesions in the liver.

Sky has researched high and low on all of the possible treatments and is now looking to supplement her conventional treatments with natural treatments too.

There is also the option of treatment abroad.

Sky added: “I feel overwhelmed by the love and support shown already.

“I never thought we would reach the figure we have already. Having my sister set up the GoFundMe has taken a weight off my shoulders.”

Her sister, Sophie Johnson, who set up the GoFundMe, added: “I have promised my sister I will do all I can to help.

“She needs to watch her two beautiful children grow up and her children need their mum to try everything she can to get better.

“So, please from the bottom of my heart if you could help in any way it would be eternally appreciated.”
