Motorists are battling delays of up to 15 minutes and increasing on the A127 following an earlier crash.
A crash was reported around 7am on the Basildon-bound A127 this morning, around the Esso Garage.
Work to clear the road of debris has lead to heavy congestion into Basildon along the entire eastbound stretch of the A127, with heavy traffic building and delays currently more than 15 minutes.
London-bound drivers are facing delays of six minutes and building after the lane became partially blocked due to a crash on A127 Southend Arterial Road London bound at A128 Tilbury Road.
Queueing traffic for two miles has been reported.
