A WOMAN has been left with potentially serious injuries after a crash in a busy Southend road.

Emergency services were called to reports of a two-car crash in Woodgrange Drive shortly before 12.45pm yesterday afternoon.

Residents reported police had cordoned off the area while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Essex Police has now confirmed a woman was taken to hospital with "potentially serious injuries".
