A THREE-DAY "fake" Leigh Folk Festival is set to raise funds for the real event - with the timings now revealed.
Leigh Folk Festival has been running for more than 30 years, staged by Leigh Folk Arts, and is highly anticipated with crowds flocking to venues across Old Leigh for the event.
However, this year's event was cancelled due to a lack of new committee members joining, the cost-of-living crisis, and increasing production costs.
To help raise funds for a future event, a three-day "fake" folk festival will be taking place this weekend.
Twenty acts are donating their time for free to perform at the fundraising festival in The Fisherman's Chapel, New Road, from Friday to Sunday.
The Daisy Bowlers will be opening with Marine Mammal and the Locals headlining on Friday, The Famous Potatoes on Saturday, and The Gardeners on Sunday.
