Chalkwell Beach, Southend

Walking through the unsuspecting wrought iron gate off Victoria Avenue, the secluded location contains a picturesque waterfall along with a stream.
The garden is one of the best spots for a peaceful picnic.
One reviewer described it as a hidden haven.

Hadleigh Country Park
The wildlife-filled park in Benfleet provides visitors the unique opportunity to enjoy a lovely meal in the midst of history and beauty.
Overlooking the Thames Estuary, near Southend, Hadleigh Park offers unrivalled views over the estuary to Kent.
Summer sees the meadows in bloom with scores of butterflies drifting over, making an ideal spot for a picnic.

Hockley Woods
The woods is the perfect place for families and those looking for an escape to nature for a few hours.

Langdon Hills Country Park
The 400 acre park offers unmatched views of the estuary and panoramic views of London.
The flower-rich grassland meadows serve as perfect picnic areas and contain a good network of footpaths to get around the country side.
