Crash in Southend leaves two people in critical condition

Officers were called to Eastern Avenue shortly after 11pm on Friday June 28 following reports of a single vehicle crash.

The two people who remain in critical condition were taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The vehicle involved was a black Volkswagen Golf.

The road remained closed in both directions overnight but has since reopened.

An investigation is ongoing and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or have any CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them quoting incident number 1548 of June 28.
