A NEW cafe promising to provide its own blend of top tier organic coffee has thrown open its doors to customers after holding a grand opening.
Caffe Royal London, on the first floor of the Eastgate Shopping Centre, officially opened on Saturday, and bosses are confident it will prove a huge hit.
Owner, Attif Chaudry, expanded Caffé Royal London to Eastgate from London after sensing a gap in the market for coffee, emphasising quality and fresh food made on the day in the store.
On Saturday, friends and family gathered at the cafe for an opening event where a ribbon was cut outside.
Attif has said the event has “doubled” their visitor numbers and they have been handing out samples to passers-by to great success.
He said: “We had guests, family and friends together, everyone came down and we set up decorations as well, it went very well and a lot of people passing by joined as well.
“It was cheerful for the two hours we were there.
“There has been a big boost from the event as well.
“Saturday after the event was our busiest day and we had a busy Sunday and a Monday, “We are getting double the footfall now and our balloon decorations are still making us stick out, it emphasises that we are a new store to see, and people come over to look.”
Mr Chaudry added that the cafe remains dedicated to a range of organic products and food which offers them the edge in the shopping centre.
“We are committed to our range of products, the only thing that has changed is we have been doing a lot of cold coffees.
“We find that people love it and we are getting a lot of customers from that.
“We are also giving samples to people passing by, it lets them try our food before spending money.”
He added that there have been hiccups on the path to opening the cafe, such as issues with a leak and issues with their ice machines, so he is glad to be finally open.
