A notice has been issued as the Red Arrows are set to soar into Southend Airport today.

The iconic Red Arrows are expected to return to Southend Airport today as they take part in another display after thrilling residents last week.

However, the Red Arrows team have since released a warning that there may be changes to the planned schedule due to the poor weather forecast.

In a statement, they said: “For those expecting to see the Red Arrows land at Southend - please be aware that, due to operating limitations in the forecasted poor weather, there may be changes to Friday’s planned operating bases and/or display and flypast schedule.

“Please continue to follow the official social media of show organisers or the team’s accounts for more information, when we’re in a position to provide more information.”

The Arrows are expected to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Britain at Headcorn Aerodrome today with spectacular flying displays, and the south Essex airport is set to host them while they take part.

They are planned to land at Southend Airport at 10.16am before heading to the show at 12.47pm and returning to the airport at 1.38pm.

They will then depart again at 4pm, giving residents plenty of time to see them.
