Essex Fire and Rescue Service has determined the cause of the large blaze at a Basildon industrial estate.
Yesterday, at around 12:26pm, firefighters were called to Burnt Mills Industrial Estate, in Basildon.
This was after reports of a large pile of household waste, approximately 10m by 5m high, on fire.

Residents in the area were urged to keep all their windows and doors shut.
This morning, Essex Fire has now confirmed that the fire was started accidentally by hot work from machinery on site.
