LIVE music and entertainment is set to fill Southend Pier as the landmark will host its second summer party of the year.

Vibrant DJs and musicians will bring a lively atmosphere to the longest pleasure pier in the world during the two-day pier party.

This comes after the success of the first summer event of the year, as well as a three-day extravaganza in May, which aim to help the city “return to the glory days of Southend Pier”.

The Labour-led council administration revealed its plans earlier this year for “20 weeks of events” on the 1.33-mile pier every year.

Performances from Tuppenny Bunters, The Beatniks, and The Record Department with DJ Daryl Easlea will kick off the event on Saturday, July 27.

Sunday, July 28, will feature more stripped back acoustic vibes from The Chris Robson Band, The Daisy Bowlers, The Dusty Peddlers and more from The Record Department with DJ Daryl Easlea.

Revellers will also be able to enjoy a wide selection of drinks from a cocktail bar, serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

The Southend Pier Summer Party Part II is free, but the usual pier admission prices apply.
