A MAJOR road in south Essex has been closed off after a crash has brought power cables down.
Runwell Road is shut in both directions between Church End Lane and Browns Avenue, near the popular Quart Pot pub in Runwell.
This is following a crash which brought down power cables across the road, according to Essex County Council's traffic alerts.

Traffic is queueing both ways in the road back to Golden Jubilee Way and up to St Lukes Way.
