A TEMPORARY 30mph speed limit for a major Basildon road is among the six new public notices this week.

The limit is set to be in place in Nether Mayne, in both directions between Fobbing Farm Roundabout and Five Bells Roundabout North, for 12 days from Monday, July 29.

This is while remedial works are carried out by Natta Building Company.


Rayleigh Weir slip road, from the A129 to the A127 London-bound, will be closed off from its junction with Rayleigh Weir Roundabout for 23 nights from Thursday, August 1.

The closures will be in place between 9pm and 5am while box beam replacement works are undertaken.

Drivers will be diverted via Rayleigh Road, London Road, Kiln Road, Bread And Cheese Hill, London Road, Sadlers Farm Roundabout, Pitsea Bypass, Canvey Way, A130 New Bypass.


Dry Street, in Langdon Hills, will be closed from its junction with Nether Mayne for three nights from Monday.

The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am while a manhole is repaired.

An alternative route is available via A176, A13, A1014, B1007 and vice versa.


Bardfield, in Basildon, is closing near Clay Hill Road for 11 days on Monday, July 29 while carriageway repair works are carried out by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bardfield, Kent View Road, Byfletts, Clay Hill Road and vice versa.


Parking, waiting, loading and unloading on Leigh Park Road will be suspended between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Tuesday, July 23.

The closure will be in place from its junction with Hillside Road to outside 9 Leigh Park Road while cabling works take place for Openreach. 


Canewdon Gardens is set to shut in Runwell for five days while Anglian Water carried out sewer pipe connection works.

The closure is due to start on July 29.
