A POPULAR Southend seafront attraction has revealed changes to its opening hours this weekend to help staff and customers enjoy England’s Euro 2024 final.
England will play Spain in the final of the football tournament on Sunday at 8pm in Berlin, Germany.
As the team prepares for England's first final on foreign soil, major retailers including Tesco, Lidl and Sainsbury’s have announced they will be closing early to allow customers and shoppers to cheer them on to what we hope will be a fantastic victory.
Now, Western Esplanade theme park Adventure Island has joined these businesses in closing early to give everyone the chance to watch the match.
A spokesman shared: "Come on, England! To support England playing in the Euro final, Adventure Island will be closing at 7pm this Sunday. This will give everyone the opportunity to watch the match!
"Make sure to come early and enjoy the rides!
"It’s coming home!"
While some businesses close early, pubs and bars are ready for what is promising to be one of their biggest weekends of the year as football fans celebrate England making it through to the final.
In Southend, Boom Battle Bar has seen its intake “quadruple” since Euro 2024 started while the Bread and Cheese pub in Benfleet has sold out within minutes for every match day.
