Update: It is now understood that three people have tragically been killed following this crash with another injured.
Essex Police officers are tonight assisting the Metropolitan Police Service following a collision on the A13.
The road is closed just past the Lakeside junction towards London near Wennington, Essex Police said at 11.35pm on Monday night.

The road is likely to remain closed until the early hours of Tuesday, July 16, the force said.
A spokesman added: “We advise road users to find an alternative route.”
