PART of a street in Rayleigh closing for 40 days is among the six latest public notices this week.

Victoria Avenue will be shut off from its junction with London Road for a distance of about 40 metres from Monday, July 22. 

The closure is in place while traffic signal improvement works are undertaken by Breheny Civil Engineering.

A diversion route will be available via Cheapside West, Vernon Avenue, London Road and vice versa.


Pipps Hill Road North will close for one day in Ramsden Crays on August 5 while the county council carries out pole bracket replacement.

The road will be shut from its junction with Wash Road for a distance of about 500 metres south.


Hall Crescent in Hadleigh will be shut off from its junction with London Road on Monday July 29.

The closure will be in place for five days while box replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via London Road, New Road and Commonhall Lane or Commonhall Lane, Falbro Crescent, Beresford Gardens, Rayleigh Road and London Road, with access only into Hall Crescent.


A busy road in Basildon will be closing for one hour while Network Rail carries out bridge inspection work.

Church Road will be shut off from its junction with Osborne Road in Vange from 10pm until 11pm on Tuesday.

During the closure, drivers will be diverted via Church Road, Clay Hill Road, Timberlog Lane, Mopsies Roundabout, Broadmayne, Broadmayne Roundabout, Church Road and vice versa.


 Gardiners Lane North is also closing in Ramsden Crays from its junction with London Road to its junction with the A127.

The closure is set to start on Monday, August 5, and will be in place for three days. This is while Essex County Council carries out carriageway patching works.


Harrow Road in Basildon is closing from its junction with School Lane for three days from Monday, August 5.

This is while Essex and Suffolk Water carries out chamber rebuild works.

No diversion route will be in place.
