A serving Met Police officer has been found guilty of assault, following an incident in Stansted where the officer pushed the victim in the chest.
PC Duncan Bouette, who is attached to the North East Command Unit, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday July 10, following an investigation by Essex Police.
PC Bouette, 37, denied the charge, but was found guilty and given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £351 costs.
It follows an incident in Hampton Road, Stansted, on March 20 2023.
The victim reported flashing the lights and sounding the horn of their car at the vehicle ahead, which was obstructing their car.
The court heard that PC Bouette got out of his vehicle pushed the victim in the chest, made a comment to suggest he was a police officer and used offensive language towards the victim.
