The streets across the Southend borough with some of the highest-valued homes have been revealed, according to a new study.

Professional fast sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2019 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the Southend borough postcodes.

With its easy travel links to London by two railway lines, along with Green Flag parks and Blue Flag beaches, Southend is a popular neighbourhood for many prospective homeowners.

On average, house prices in Southend were around £375,427, according to data from the HM Land Registry, with the average property price found to have increased by 25.69 percent over the last five years.

Gathering five year’s worth of sold house price data, Galton Road in Westcliff, Mess Road in Shoebury and Drake Road in Westcliff have been revealed by the property firm to have some of the highest-valued homes across the region over the past five years.

On Galton Road, four properties sold with an average price of £1,531,250. Mess Road saw four sold with an average of £1,480,000, and Drake Road had four sold for an average of £1,232,500.

Some of the cheapest residential postcodes included Cole Court (SS2 6BQ), where five properties sold for an average of £80,850, Prince Avenue (SS2 6RN), with six sold for a £83,166 average, and Salisbury Avenue (SS0 7BE) where three sold with a £89,666 average.

Commenting on the data, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said only the streets that had three sales or more were ranked, to keep the data less skewed.
