A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH following an assault in Stanford-le-Hope yesterday.
Officers were called to Margarets Avenue, at around 3.45pm yesterday to reports of a man being attacked by a group of found men.
Officers attended and found a man with injuries to his hand, head and elbow.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, following an assault in Stanford-le-Hope, and is currently in custody.
Detective Inspector Leanne Ford said: “Officers responded quickly to this incident, and we have made an arrest.
“However, there are more people we need to trace, and I need the public’s help to find them.”
The Police believe, at this stage, that the incident was targeted, and the public should not be worried for their own safety.
