A major road in Rochford has been closed following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.
Emergency services are on the scene in South Street, Rochford, responding to an incident that occurred shortly before 12:15pm today.
Essex Police have confirmed the closure of the road while emergency services attend to the incident.
It is reported that there has been a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
Officers have confirmed that a diversion is in place but warned motorists about potential delays on nearby roads.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "South Street in Rochford is currently closed while emergency services respond to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian, shortly before 12.15pm today, Wednesday, July 24.
"A diversion is in place, but please be aware this may cause delays on nearby roads."
