A ROUNDABOUT has been closed as a large burst water main causes significant flooding in Shoebury

Essex and Suffolk Water said they received reports at around 3am of a burst on a large water main on Parson Corner roundabout in Shoebury.

As a result, the area was left flooded and a number of residents were left either without water or with low pressure.

Teams attended the scene quickly and have been working through the night and into the morning to try and clear the flooding on the roundabout.

Essex and Suffolk Water have also been rezoning the network in an attempt to keep everyone supplied.

However, they have warned that some customers may still experience low pressure this morning as the network refills.
