A busy road in Southend city centre has been closed off amid an ongoing "police incident", according to reports.
Chichester Road has been closed by police while they are dealing with an incident this evening.
AA traffic maps shows delays in Queensway, Chichester Road, Tylers Avenue and Southchurch Road while the road appears to be shut off.
Essex Police and Essex Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
