MAGISTRATES have imposed a huge fine on a man who assaulted a woman at a train station.
Richard Bunce committed the offence in August last year when he struck Shannon Saunders at Liverpool Street station in London.
After denying the assault, Bunce, of Manor Road, Colchester, stood trial at City of London Magistrates’ Court.
After he was found guilty, magistrates fined Bunce £1,095 and ordered him to pay a further £100 of compensation.
He was also ordered to pay £650 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £273.75 as a victim surcharge.
The overall costs for Bunce, 35, came £2,118.75.
