UPDATE: Following the emergency services dealing with an incident at Basildon this morning, the c2c train line has now reopened. 


Train services running across the whole c2c network may be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised.

The disruption is expected until 11pm and an update will again be issued in the next hour.

The c2c train line linking south Essex with London was blocked this morning with trains being cancelled while emergency services deal with an incident at Basildon. 

Following an incident at Basildon, c2c train services via Basildon may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Rainham, c2c said. 

Basildon, Laindon and West Horndon will not be served, it added. 

Customers are advised to use Firstbus 100 between Lakeside, Grays, Stanford-le-Hope, Basildon, Billericay, and Chelmsford. 

To use Firstbus 15 or 15A between Basildon (bus station), and Wickford (for Aga).

To use Firstbus 200 between Grays, Stanford-le-Hope and Basildon.

Firstbus 22 between Benfleet, Pitsea, and Basildon (bus station) are further conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. 

Greater Anglia are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice. 

London Underground Jubilee Line, London Underground District Line, London Underground Hammersmith and City Line, and London Underground Circle Line are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.
