A man has been found with serious injuries after welfare concerns near a Rayleigh park.

Essex Police were called to King Georges Close, in Rayleigh, shortly before 7pm yesterday evening.

This was following concerns for the welfare of a man who had sustained serious injuries.

Officers say enquiries indicate that no other party was involved, and the man has been taken to hospital.

Despite sustaining serious injuries, they are not deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to King Georges Close in Rayleigh shortly before 7pm on Tuesday, 6 August following a concern for welfare of a man who had sustained serious injuries.

"Enquiries indicate that no other party was involved and he was taken to hospital. His injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing."
