A CLOSURE in a Southend city centre road next week is among the new public notices across south Essex.
Due to works being carried out with a crane being operated in Elmer Approach, near the Focal Point Gallery, the road will close from its junction with Elmer Avenue to its junction with Napier Avenue on Wednesday, August 14.
This will be in place from 7.30am until 5pm and drivers will be diverted via Elmer Avenue, Queens Road, Napier Avenue, Gordon Place and vice versa.
Road maintenance works will be carried out at St Davids Terrace in Leigh next week.
While these are carried out, the road will be closed from its junction with St Davids Driver to its junction with Highlands Boulevard.
Parking will also be banned in the road while the closure is in place from Monday, August 12, until Friday, August 16.
Jotmans Lane in Benfleet will also be shut on Wednesday, August 14, while Essex and Suffolk Water works take place.
This closure will be in place for one day from its junction with High Road to its junction with Appleton Road.
An alternative route will be available via High Road, Benfleet Park Road, Danesfield, and Appleton Road .
Essex and Suffolk Water will also be carrying out works in Great Burstead on Tuesday.
Kennel Lane will be closed from its junction with Hunters Avenue for one day while a frame and cover is replaced by engineers.
Drivers will be diverted through Kennel Lane, Church Street, Noak Hill Road, Noak Hill Road Roundabout and vice versa.
