The family of a woman who tragically died in a dog attack have appealed for help to ensure she gets the send-off she deserves.
Michelle Hempstead died following a dog attack in Retort Close on July 30.
Neighbours who rushed to help dialled 999 and desperately tried to give her first aid.
Essex Police said she was taken to the Royal London Hospital, but died “despite the best efforts of doctors”.
Her family is now hoping to raise £8,000 to “give Michelle the beautiful send-off she so rightfully deserves.”

They said: “Michelle wasn’t just a mother to five beautiful children, she was a daughter, a friend, a neighbour, a big support system for the people around her but undoubtedly the kindest soul to have crossed everyone’s paths.
“We are absolutely heartbroken by her absence, and we’d like to do her justice by coming together as a community at this unfortunate time.”
Her family thanked all those who had tried to save Ms Hempstead’s life.
Their statement continued: “We would like to thank every single person who has reached out and shared kind words and condolences to Michelle’s family and friends, we appreciate the outpouring of love and respect shown to protect the privacy around her unfortunate passing.
“We would also like to express our absolute gratitude to the individuals who helped Michelle before emergency services could reach her. To witness and hear about such incredibly brave neighbours that came together as a community to help her has touched us tremendously.
“We thank you all for the unconditional love and care you showed, I hope we can achieve the same level of love and raise donations that will support her funeral.”
The family spokesman added: “We would like to give Michelle the beautiful send-off she so rightfully deserves, she was made of steel and was just an incredibly strong and resilient woman who everyone adored.
“Coming together for her would outline just how special she was, every donation will help us achieve a graceful day for her as well as contribute to supporting her children while they quietly grieve.”
