Unsuspecting staff at a south Essex pub were left shocked as a coffee cup was sent flying with no explanation other than a "cheeky ghost".
The Punch Bowl, in Paglesham, is being haunted by a cheeky ghost according to its staff, with a video published on Facebook by the pub showing the paranormal activity in action.
The footage shows a coffee cup flying towards an unsuspecting bar worker, with no visible way that the cup could have travelled without the influence of the supernatural.
The pub posted: "I knew we had a cheeky ghost, we honestly can't explain this cup coming off the top of the coffee machine on its own."
The Punch Bowl was recently lovingly restored to welcome customers back in January, after sadly closing in 2018 due to a lack of business.
The pub, dating to the 17th century, was re-opened by Sally and Robbie Beaumont after they took the reins in 2021. The couple have since opened a new beer garden and barbecue as they continue to go from strength to strength.
