Superheroes and their villainous counterparts thrilled youngsters visiting Adventure Island across the weekend.

The Southend seafront attraction hosted its popular Superhero Weekend again this year, in an effort to raise funds for Southend Hospital’s radiotherapy department.

Staff at the theme park embraced the spirit by dressing up as fan-favourite heroes and villains, entertaining young visitors across Saturday and Sunday.

“We’re also proud to continue raising funds for Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation and their spotlight radiotherapy appeal.
