ADVENTURE Island is celebrating achieving a prestigious accreditation recognising its "unwavering commitment to excellence" in all areas.

The theme park, in Western Esplanade on Southend seafront, has received an "outstanding" VisitEngland report, achieving a quality score of 95 per cent to be recognised as a Quality Assured Visitor Attraction.

With strict criteria, the VisitEngland quality assessors check the services and facilities offered at businesses and award star ratings and accreditation.

Each year, every aspect of the business is thoroughly inspected from the efficiency of the booking process to the level of service provided.

Celebrating the achievement, operations director James Miller said: “We are delighted to announce that Adventure Island has once again been recognised as a VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction, achieving an outstanding quality score of 95% this year.

“This prestigious accreditation highlights our unwavering commitment to excellence in all areas, including our attractions, catering, cleanliness, and customer service.

“We are incredibly proud of our dedicated team whose hard work and commitment ensure an exceptional experience for our visitors.

“From ride operators and cleaning staff to catering personnel and the security team that keep us safe, their efforts reflect our status as a Queen’s Award company, our eight UK Theme Park Award nominations, and our TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award.”

Mr Miller claims the report also acknowledged the "exceptionally high parking costs on the seafront", but issued a heartfelt thanks to the theme park's regular visitors for their continued support.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to our loyal guests who visit us year after year,” he said.

”We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to offer the best value, especially with our current annual pass sale at only £40. We can’t wait to see you all soon.”
