THE Bank Holiday Bonanza which is taking over Southend Pier this weekend has announced that today's music acts will be cancelled due to the poor weather conditions.
There were due to be three acts performing today - Old Time Sailors, The Silver Darlings and The Tempo Collective.
The Galeon Andalucia tall ship will still be welcoming visitors and the Pier is open as usual until 8pm (last entrance at 7pm).
The events at this moment remain as normal for the rest of the weekend with a full line-up tomorrow and Monday, hopefully sticking to the plan with the weather looking to be in a better position for the rest of the weekend.
Featuring an exciting lineup of DJs, live music, special guest appearances, and a unique maritime experience, it’s a weekend that will still be of interest to so many despite the conditions today.
Proceedings tomorrow are planned to start at 12pm, with Levent and Taylor's World Band.
The other acts performing are The 251s and throughout the day The Record Department with DJ Daryl Easlea will be in full swing.
