Following Oasis’ return announcement today (August 27), the Echo are looking back at their visit to Southend nearly three decades ago.
Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed on Tuesday morning they will be getting the band back together after splitting in 2009.
The iconic group were last in Southend in April of 1995 for a performance at the Cliffs Pavilion.
The Britpop act could be seen on Adventure Island attractions, and hanging around the seafront with the long lost Golden Hind replica ship in the background.
The reunion tour will see the band perform in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and in Dublin – while Glastonbury has also been rumoured as one of the stops.
Oasis's confirmed the news shortly before tracks from the first recording session for Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe are released on Friday (August 30) marking its 30th anniversary.

- Cardiff Principality Stadium - 4th/5th July
- Manchester Heaton Park - 11th/12th/19th/20th July
- London Wembley Stadium - 25th/26th July & 2nd/3rd August
