OVERNIGHT closures on a major road in Basildon are among the six latest public notices this week.

West Mayne is closing from its junction with Southfield Roundabout for two nights from September 9.

These closures will be in place from 7pm until 5am while Essex County Council carries out lighting replacement.

Drivers will be diverted via West Mayne, High Road Roundabout, St Nicholas Lane, Upper Mayne Roundabout, Upper Mayne, Burches Roundabout, Southend Arterial Road To Upper Mayne Link Road, Southend Arterial Road, Fortune Of War Roundabout, Southend Arterial Road, West Mayne Roundabout, West Mayne.


Daws Heath Road, in Hadleigh, will be shut from its junction with Bramble Road for one day on September 9.

This is while tree cutting works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Daws Heath Road, Bramble Road, Moorcroft Avenue, Fairmead Avenue, Daws Heath Road, and vice versa.


Beverley Rise in Billericay is also shutting from its junction with Greens Farm Lane to its end on September 9.

The closure will be in place for five days while carriageway patching is carried out by the county council.


A trucking company has applied to keep ten more vehicles and trailers at its site in Basildon.

JFL Solutions has applied to keep an extra five goods vehicles and five trailers at the operating centre at Paragon Centre in Cranes Farm Road.

Any land owners near the centre who believe they would be affected should make written representations to the traffic commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds LS9 6NF, stating their reasons, by next Friday.


Another firm has also applied to keep an extra goods vehicle at its site near Southend Airport.

Packaging supplies company EDP Ltd of has applied to change its licence to keep the extra vehicle at 40 Comet Way, in Southend.

Feedback from anyone who believes they may be affected must be given to the traffic commissioner by next Friday.


Developers have applied to build two new homes in land near Wickford.

Marden Billericay has submitted an application to Basildon Council for the development of two detached homes, alongside associated parking and infrastructure, on land in Corner Road, Ramsden Crays.

Representations must be made to the council by next Friday.
