From sun-kissed summer spots to snowy winter destinations, holidaymakers have 18 destinations they can fly to from Southend Airport next year.

After easyJet announced it will be bringing back its Southend base in March 2025, passengers are spoilt for choice with a raft of new routes added in recent months.

This includes exciting new Spanish locations Reus and Almeria as popular Mediterranean island Malta after routes were announced by easyJet at the end of August.

EasyJet will be operating flights to these favourite summer destinations next year as well as Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Alicante, Malaga, and Palma de Mallorca in Spain, Geneva in Switzerland, Faro in Portugal, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Enfidha in Tunisia, Marrakech in Morocco, Pisa in Italy, and Dalaman and Antalya in Turkey.

Alongside the new routes, the budget airline has begun advertising for new cabin crew staff to be based at Southend Airport next year, as well as a direct entry cabin crew manager. The new base will eventually create a whopping 130 new jobs at the airport.

Next December, exclusive winter flights from the south Essex airport will also be departing to whisk families away to explore Santa's Lapland in time for Christmas.

The Santa's Lapland experience, from £1769 per adult, includes the flight from Southend on December 21, 2025, as well as the return, transfers, half-board accommodation, cosy thermal suits and a range of activities.
